ARTIST' S BACKGROUND

Coromandel Artist/Sculptor

Born in 1953, educated in Auckland, and upon graduating from Auckland Technical Institute in Graphic Design - pursued a career as a commercial artist, illustrator and painter. Portraying the earthy, spiritual, and hidden forces of life and movement, Warren strives to bring to us visions of another world.

In 1993, after many years as a freelance artist, a compelling urge to move towards the three dimensional, led to a period of experimentation in various mediums.

Bronze became Warren's major focus, which led to the setting up of his Coromandel Foundry where his work was produced.

In 2002 a move to Wanganui and a larger workshop enabled the Factory, an environment for casting artists, to be established.
